SPAW 2024 – CIArb – Written Statements for Fact Witness

The CIArb Brazil Branch is currently conducting seminars and research to assess (a) how prevalent and uniform is the use of written statements for fact witnesses; and (b) whether it should suggest the preparation of CIArb guidelines on the topic.

Following the debates held throughout the year, CIArb is organizing an event during São Paulo Arbitration Week to discuss its preliminary findings, bringing them before a multinational and experienced panel.

Stefan Kröll and Catarina Monteiro Pires will bring the European perspective (particularly from Germany and Portugal) while Jeffrey Rosenthal shall contribute with its North American point of view. Amanda Sampaio will bring the Brazilian angle and Lucas V. R. da Costa Mendes will moderate the debate.

The event will be held in English.
